I don't allow Gizmo on my bed but only because it is too high.  I put steps
next to it but he just wants to jump off and not use the steps.  I am afraid he
will break his leg from jumping off that high.  I do let him on the sofas but
they are much shorter than the bed.

Liz, such precious babies!  You all make me feel like a bad mama, I have never
allowed Cesar on my bed.  In fact, its a high antique bed and I'd be afraid he
would try to jump down and break a leg.  So, I never even tried it.

I am getting my new Chi tonight!  I'm so excited!  She is 1 year old and I am
adopting her from a breeder who decided to rehome a few of her dogs.  The
breeder was keeping her as a breeding dog and she has already had one litter of
pups who she did very well with.  Her name is currently Powder but I am going
to change her name to Cricket.  She is a white long haired Chi that weighs 4
pounds or so.  She is being flown to me and I am picking her up from the
airport tonight.

I am hoping my Gizmo (7 months old, neutered) will get along with her.  I have
the kitchen set up with Gizmo's x-pen in the middle.  I am going to put Cricket
in the kitchen with a gate up for now until she is pee pad trained.  I figure I
will leave Gizmo in his x-pen and have Cricket have the rest of the kitchen
until the get to know each other.  Gizmo is really good with other dogs and
Cricket was raised with other dogs, too.  So, I hope they become best friends!
I have Gizmo and 2 Australian Shepherds.  I decided to get a second Chi
because, even though Gizmo plays great with the big dogs, I would love for him
to have a little Chi like him to play with.

Anyway, I can't wait to get her!  I will post pics of her tomorrow.  I am sure
I will have lots of questions for those of you who have experience introducing
new dogs to their other Chis.
