In all of my years of having dogs, we only breed one, a toy poodle, she had 4 pups, one died, and one gave us a heck of a time, being breached. We had to end up calling the vet, who came over (he was a friend), when the breached baby was delivered it was a female and it was supposed to be named Pat after my best friend, but since it was breached, my daughter named her Tap. in this case this "midwife" had to pretty much pull the 1st pup out...it was breached and its big head didn't want to come out and when it finally did, it had been without sufficient oxygen for some time and I couldn't find anything to suction the fluid from its nose and mouth so I used my own mouth!!! lol.
