Jaelyn was originally owned by a breeder in Florida. She had several litters. As part of the standard happenings when a new dog comes into the rescue she was spayed before she came to me (at first) as a foster parent. She didn't gain weight at all, in fact she lost weight. Though that is probably from a myriad of factors like now she gets excercise instead of being in a cage all day, she plays cat & mouse (only dog & cats) with the kitties, so she expends alot of energy and calories in those ways and probably more. :) It's a little OT, but when each of my cats were spayed they also lost weight for some reason unknown to me. LOL
