HI! I can share with you that changing all my pack from kibble to a raw diet of 80% raw high quality meat, 10% raw organs and 10% bone has changed dry skin, whimpy coats, bad breath, plaque filled teeth, attitudes, stools, itchy-ness, many other health issues as well as greatly improving my poodle's seizures. Almost any of the things mentioned have become a complete non-issue...sparkling white teeth...great coats...no itchiness...perfect stools...etc.
For fleas I would bathe often in a very mild shampoo...use a conditioner and then a good ole-fashion flea comb to pic them off on a regular basis. There is not ONE flea med out there I would ever put on a Chi...let alone any other dog if I could get away with it. Good news...only a few more months of fleas season!!
