I’ve heard some recommend keeping them tethered to you when you are in the house so that you can keep an eye on them and also limit their access to areas where you DON’T want them to go and have an accident.

Dogs will usually poop when they wake up and after they eat. They also will give you signs that they have to go. So start a routine of taking them out when the wake up and after they eat and in between look for their signs and take them out and tell them "go potty" once they are outside and praise them when they do. You have to be consistent. Gloria In a message dated 11/22/2010 7:44:52 P.M. Central Standard Time, [email protected] writes: I wana start teaching Sweetie and Stetson to potty outside.
