Because even good responsible breeders can't guarantee the pups they sell won't ever be in a shelter somewhere. Life interferes with the best laid plans. People die, people move, people don't keep their promises to return to breeder if they can't keep them anymore. I am NOT against breeding because if not for good breeders the breed would die out in time. However their is a big difference between someone who breeds and their pets are a part of their family and only produce one maybe 2 litters a year and someone who just breeds just because..................... Insert reason..................... I used to volunteer at the local shelter until I just could not do it anymore. It is heartbreaking.
