I bought Gigi an step-in harness vest at Petco. Since it hugs her chest, with just a very slight tug on the leash, she slows down. I like it because it has a full front that stays low way under her neck, instead of the types that have just a band that wraps the neck. I don't like that type at all because it chokes the dog. The only thing I don't like is the large clip to close it, but it works great.
