Hi Denise and welcome! My name is Carol and we have 11 chi's. Mine too do the backwards sneezing. Not all of them, but several of them do. The vet says this is normal.
I personally don't know about the eyelid, but I am sure someone will. I recently inherited from my daughter a 4 yr. old male chihuahua, my husband's cat died and he wanted another one so we kept joking that Milo meows LOL!! To make a long story short he surprised both of us and decided to adopt him! We have 2 standard poodles and they seem to have accepted him but of course he is still leary of them but I feel that in time he will see that they won't hurt him, they are both a couple of big babies. So my reason for joining this group is I know nothing about chihuahuas, just poodles, and I am sure I will need help knowing what is normal or not with Milo. For instance he seems to do the inward sneeze thing alot I read that some of them do this??? He also has an eyelid that seems to be swollen a little do we need to see a vet? Any information you think I need to know would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
