What I did when I litter trained my boy, I picked up a little piece of his poop
and put it in the litter box and then let him smell it he got it right away. I
am having problems with my new baby too because she does not like the wet
grass. So I am trying to train her to use a potty pad for the days its raining.
Good luck and he sounds like such a love :)

I agree with Gloria. If you give him a safe place inside to poo maybe he would
stop his random pooing inside. I use wee pads inside on hard plastic wee pad
trays. It protects my floor and the babies know they are allowed to go on them.
To train them I reward when they first start using them. They also have a
special scent that attracts them.
Good luck,

I rescued a chihuahua 2 years ago. When I first got him he had been severely
neglected and was close to death. when I first brought him home he was really
aggressive to everyone except me. With some love and lots of attention and
always having a lap to sit in he has transformed from a very aggressive dog
into a very loving family member. He is spoiled between our 4 kids and grandson
and my grandma who holds him all day long. We love him dearly but he has one
bad habit that is very hard to live with and I need some advice on how to
handle it. He poops in the house alot. He'll do it everyday for awhile and then
not do it for a week then start it all over again. It seems to have nothing to
do with the weather. It'll be sunny and after hes been outside he'll poop
inside. It's cold here in WI but some days hes fine with going outside and
other days he just goes wherever he feels like it. We've tried rewarding him
when he goes potty outside but then the next
day he goes inside. We always make sure he gets outside when he needs to but
sometimes he'll poop right after he gets back in. Please help! I'm sick of
cleaning up poop inside the house!
