Welcome to the group. My name is Joan and I live in North Las Vegas, NV with my two Chihuahuas.Dolly Dee is a fawn female and she will be three in May; Desi Lou is a chocolate tri male and he will be two in August.
I use puppy pads inside for my dogs, and they also go potty outside. I have spinal problems so it is good that they will go inside on the puppy pads so that I don't have to be getting up to let them out all of the time. My male is the same way. He'll go outside & run around, pee, and within 20-30 minutes of being back inside, he'll poop somewhere. He's at least finally confining it to rugs in front of the door out front or into the garage, but it's still maddening! He also goes into the kitchen (which he knows is off limits) while we're sleeping or gone to pee around the legs of my wood table! I've seen those ads for the Potty Patch, but sure seems expensive. Guess it'll be worth it though IF he'll actually use it. Does anyone have one of those? or is this other kind better? We've tried rewarding him when he goes potty outside but then the next day he goes inside. We always make sure he gets outside when he needs to but sometimes he'll poop right after he gets back in. Please help! I'm sick of cleaning up poop inside the house! >
