Oh, my!

I have two Chihuahuas….Dolly Dee is a fawn female 2 ½ years old and Desi Lou
is a chocolate tri male 1 ½ years old.

Miss Dolly and Mr. Desi ALWAYS wear clothes. I live in North Las Vegas, NV
and Dolly loves to lay on the patio in the sun and sunbathe….she even wants
to do it in the winter as long as the sun is shining down on her. Desi
likes to be outside too, but after 5 minutes he wants to come in. I have
tile floors in most of the house, and that is very cold for them in summer
as well as in winter. I keep the temp in my house at 67 in the winter and
about 87 in the summer…and they are still cold and burrowing under the
blankets.

So, yes…..dressing Chihuahuas takes care of two problems at the same
time…keeping them warm and preventing them from getting skin cancer.

Subject: [Chihuahuas] Does your Chi wear clothes?

I know this is a controversial subject for many, but I have a Chihuahua
(Ginger) who benefits from wearing clothing in the winter because she needs
the extra layer to keep warm. She's also a year-round sunbather (even
taking advantage of sun streaming through the windows indoors), and I worry
about skin cancer because she is white with no undercoat so the extra layer
helps protect her delicate skin.

I'm curious to know other Chi owner's thoughts on dog apparel. Does your
Chi wear clothing? How often and why? Seasonally, holiday, every day...
for protection, fun, fashion? Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

Also, if you're a Facebook user, I'd love to have you visit my Facebook page
