And then, later say that she only needed $450 for the C-section? Finally, how could this person (with admittedly not enough money to get medical care for her dog) drive 77 miles to a specific vet? With the price of gas as it is, that seems quite odd. A 154 mile RT to the vet isn't inexpensive. I think that maybe we have been "had". Luckily, all anyone offered was advice and not money. So we're only out our time. But really!!! Things like this can cause apathy for the next person to come along with a sad story. Even if the next story may be true. I hope there really is no Daisy that is going to die because of her owners. Liz
