I feel like I have wasted a day trying to help someone who may not
have been honest with this group.
First, what happened to Starbucks, granddaughter Becky's "other
Chihuahua"? The November post about him really floored me.
Second, why on earth wouldn't an experienced dog breeder (of any
Breed) insist that a tiny 2 pound, 7 month old Chihuahua puppy be
spayed IMMEDIATELY after that tiny girl was knowingly been bred by
anything? A dog breeder would have to realize that any pregnancy
and delivery could kill a 2 pound female that was still just a puppy herself.
Third, why did this person ask list members to send her $700 (which
equals $2100) for each of three puppies that was supposedly the union
of the Chi and the Yorkie? And then, later say that she only needed
$450 for the C-section?
Finally, how could this person (with admittedly not enough money to
get medical care for her dog) drive 77 miles to a specific vet? With
the price of gas as it is, that seems quite odd. A 154 mile RT to
the vet isn't inexpensive.
I think that maybe we have been "had". Luckily, all anyone offered
was advice and not money. So we're only out our time. But really!!!
Things like this can cause apathy for the next person to come along
with a sad story. Even if the next story may be true.
I hope there really is no Daisy that is going to die because of her owners.
