I bought it because of my parrots...lots of seeds, nuts, feathers and tiny wood chunks. It handles everything really well including bird molting fluff. It has been going strong now for 7 years and is always trustworthy...the only thing I have ever come close to the power and reliability of my Kirby...but kirbys are sooooooo heavy and have no inboard tools. Not only did I clean out the part where the belt goes and had to use the dog comb to get all the fur off of the brush, and changed the belt, but then when I opened the motor, I was shocked to see that everything was embedded with her fur.
