Hi Shanna,

Yes I have done all of the things you have listed. Sorry I only have access to
the computer during work mon-fri.  I wouldn't have time to even look at the
computer if I had one at home.LOL
She is doing very well.  I don't think she should be spayed for  a couple
months. Just so she can get some weight on her and I think it would be too
traumatizing for her right now.
I do think she is going to make someone a wonderful little dog. She is a lover.
It will give me lots of joy knowing she will bring someone allot of happiness.

I was so busy this weekend, we taped the race and by the time I sat down last
night I saw the last 40 laps.. We normally go to the AZ. race, but they changed
the schedule this year, so we will try and go to the one in Nov in AZ.  We
don't like to go to the California one's. So boring..
Beth

Hi Beth!

When I adopted my Ricky he was skin and bones too. It has taken about 5 months
to get him back to normal weight for his size. As far as her being aggressive
with food, she most likely had to fight for food or, was not feed much where
ever she was.
Keep in mind now that she is now with you and safe. You have to give her time
to settle in to her new place. Also being under weight and not feed correctly,
she must feel really sick. She may have diarrhea due to eating again. I would
feed her small meals in a quiet place all her own about 5-6 times a day until
she feels more comfy and feels better. Ricky was sick with coughing/sneezing
etc when I brought him home. He was also just fixed and still had his stitches
in. He was one poor little guy. Its been 6 months now, and Ricky has adjusted
really well. He has come a long way from when i got him. He is aggressive with
other people and dogs, but we are working on that. He can be a bit aggressive
with me at times, but we are working on that also and he really is learning to
trust. He is a toy hoarder! He always has a toy in his mouth or right with him.
Now that the sun is coming in on our balcony a little, he takes his toys one by
one out to the sunny spot
and lays with them. Its really cute how he does the things he does.

My advice to you is wait for shots on her until she is well. love and food is
the best thing you can do for her. I would love to have another dog. You are in
CA? I am from there but live in Vegas! NASCAR LAND THIS WEEKEND!!

hope all goes well

Thank you Gloria, I wished I could save them all! Funny thing I have been
calling her Angel..
She can't be more then a year, by looking at her teeth.

Hi everyone. I have been talking with a rescue group member, and they needed
someone to pull a dog from the city of San Bernardino Animal control. It was a
Female Papillon, well I hadn't been there in years, and I know why. I had to
turn around an go to my car. I started crying when I saw the dogs all stuffed
in cold wet cement dog runs. There was a tiny Chi that was pulling hard at my
heart. I had them pull her too.
I delivered the Pap, but am now fostering the Chi.
She is skin and bones, she probably weighs 2lbs, but should be at least 3lbs.
She is eating, but has diarrhea. I gave her some pumpkin in her food this
morning, What else can I give her?
They didn't give her shots, paper work says to fearful and would try to bite.
She has not tried to bite me.. If you saw the pen she was in with these 4 or
five other bigger dogs I would have bitten anyone too..
So far she is a sweet heart, she is food aggresive, with my dogs, not me. I
can't blame her her ribs are all showing and her back bone is too a long with
her tail bones..
What should I be giving her to get her weight back up?
Also should I wait to get her shots? or do it now?
I may have a home lined up for her too..
Thanks everyone..
Beth
