No wonder you love Desi (both of them ) so much Joan. He sounds so easy
to love. Such a cute story you shared about him kissing everyone in the
waiting room and then how concerned he was about Dolly and where was she. He
seems really aware of what is going on around his environment. I love his
eyes, too, noticed them right away in the pictures you post -- they just seem
to clue you in to his kind, sweet, loving personality. He IS an original.

Thanks…
I can’t get out of the house with just one of them. So the other one
comes and sits patiently in the exam room…well, Desi doesn’t have that
capability…he kissed every person in the waiting room, went right up to a huge
dog
and started smelling him and kissing him, etc. In the exam room, every
time that he heard my vet’s voice, his tail wagged so hard against the back
of the bench. He jumps down on the floor when the vet comes in and stands
up against his leg. My vet just loves him. But, when the vet took Dolly
to the back, then Desi got real nervous…he couldn’t find his sister…when
they brought Dolly back, Desi was all over her with kisses. He is definitely
one of a kind! I love that little guy and he provides a lot of
entertainment.
They are sleeping in the recliner together and I am trying to get some
work done…I love the quiet moments too!

I'll sure be thinking about Dolly and praying that the vet says that all
is well. As for Mr. Desi, I think he is gorgeous... tell him, handsome,
though, k?

Subject: [Chihuahuas] Going to the vet today

I have to take Dolly to the vet today because she is having some
respiratory issues. I am giving her the Atarax, but really need the vet to
look at
her because of her history of respiratory infections. Dolly will never go
without Desi, and vice versa. I will have him weigh and examine Desi to
see if he needs a little more food. He looks thin to me because Dolly is
shorter and therefore looks wider. They have different bone structure too.
Desi is very long and tall and his rear bones are quite a bit narrower. He
has the little doxie wrists where his feet point outward…maybe I should
bring that to the attention of the vet because he is very long and has those
feet…maybe a bit doxie in him.
