I had two chis with heart failure. My first was Pumpkin, who I got when I was 5, and her daughter Peaches. Pumkin lived with heart failure for 6 years and died at 16 years old. When we found out she had it, the vet said she probably wouldn't last a year. Peaches (which was short for Peaches and Cream) died the same day we found out she had it at 14 years old, just 3 months after Pumpkin died.

Smidgen couldn't have either done. she has pneumonia and congestional heart failer. The kennel cough went to pneumonia. She has always had a heart mumur. So she is on some strong medication, and next to a vaporizer.. Chassis is all good and 5 teeth less!! & I am 500.00 poorer!! & Smidge still needs her shots and teeth done!!! Yikes. Oh and I have a newbie!! I got a Papillon. He is 3 years old, and he is the perfect dog!! I got him for free!! "its a good thing too, cause I thought I would have some extra money from taxes to buy one, but with Smidge sick, I used it on her. His name is Ori, and he is 3 years old. He is neuterd, micro chipped, house broke! He is so good.. He gets along with the girls. He is very mellow, and he sleeps at the foot of the bed.. I really lucked out with him!!
