Hi Shanna,

I wonder if Ricky's previous owner could have thrown his food bowl at him
with his food in the bowl and with his food flying everywhere, the bowl
hitting him, it became such an awful trauma for him in his mind it has made
him terribly fearful of his food being served in a bowl? He's still afraid
it could happen again? Just a thought because you said he drinks his water
from a bowl. It makes me feel so upset for Ricky that he obviously has
some issue with his food in his bowl, but not his water in a bowl. I just do
not understand how people can be so cruel to hurt innocent animals, it just
makes me feel sick inside. Bless you for saving him and I know he is
thankful too.

Hi Everyone

For a long time I have found that Ricky was afraid when my husband and I
had a plate or bowl (not the plastic ones).

He will not eat out of a bowl, but he drinks his water out of a bowl. If I
hand feed him he will eat. If you drop his food on the floor he will eat
(canned). I have tried throwing his little kibble on the floor too making it
a game. I have found he will eat one or 2 pieces if he wants.
He has never really eaten kibble at all. long story short
today I decided to put his food on a plastic table mat on the floor where
his dog bowls are. I put his canned food and a few kibble on the mat. He
acually ate some of both on his own. not alot of the kibble but a couple
pieces, and a couple licks of the canned.

Does anyone else have this problem? Anyone have an option on why Ricky
might be afraid of dishes? That is the only time I ever see him act like he
was abused..
