Kari, Your Pollie looks so wonderfully healthy and such a pretty little girl, really pretty, it must be extremely hard to reconcile yourself to the fact she is struggling with so many health issues. I am very impressed with your attitude to become your own pet's/pets' advocate and to my way of thinking, also their doctor. There is so much vets do not know and ultimately, sometimes, it's up to us to try to figure out the real answers to good health. I feel probiotics (start slow) are a very important addition as they help to vastly boost their immune systems and enzymes too, also help dogs and cats to digest their food and also make their immune systems strong. And when they have strong immune systems, not much can touch them, even goes a long way to keeping healthy teeth when their immune systems are operating optimally. A high quality food is also so important. It makes me cringe how many people feed Science Diet because their vet recommended it. It's not a good food choice. Keep up the great work. You have no doubt prolonged Pollie's life and your other cuties by being their constant and loving protector. Lynn In a message dated 4/12/2011 1:14:14 A.M.
