Hello: I use to have a good friend Phil Mendoza that was raised in Galveston. Lost track of him many years ago. My family has some land in the area I listed. I have never seen it but plan to one of these days. I just pay the tax bill year after year.

I am fine. The fire on the outskirts of Austin, burned 11 houses and damaged many others. The houses were on scenic lots, on hills, with lots of trees. The fires in other parts of Texas continue, its just been so dry and the areas that are wooded with trees and shrubs are more at risk when fires develop. I have been doing rain dances and ask you to join me - seriously, we need prayers for rain in Texas. Are you all right? I just heard that the fires are now spreading towards Austin and immediately thought of you. How so very awful and scary! I hope you post and let us know how you are doing, and give updates as to how things are there. Peggy
