What kind of bone fragments? raw? cooked? No telling how the splinters came about.

He has done surgery on too many dogs and cats with ruptured intestines due to bone fragments. That is what they make toothpaste and toothbrushes for..works fine and no risk. I’ve always gotten big beef bones for them to chew on, but they could not break the bones.
