My vet says no bones and sometimes do surgery on even big dogs for eating 
chunks of rawhide lodged In stomach..  My small chi Happy that I got in 1995 
almost died because of rawhide swelling in stomach. 
Mine do not get no bones and very little rawhide.
I had had all the tummy problems that I want.
