Lake City, Florida - he is not as shy as at first - follows me around - very sweet - now I can't bear to take to pound and can't bear to just give him to someone that may not treat him well but obviously it looks like this is going to keep happening and at 62 years of age we can't take on every dog someone dumps. People generally don't have this type of dog around here except those that use them to guard goat herds - and they can't take heat like we have here.One friend said she could use him to grow up with her new small goats to learn to protect them but he would have to live in a barn and she has a German Shepherd that tries to kill other dogs - so she would have to have a way to keep them TOTALLY separate - not liking having to worry about this!
