Subject: [Chihuahuas] another dumped dog - this one will be BIG

OK - at 1 AM our big dogs started looking outside and barking.  Found a
PUPPY that had come under fence and was cowering behing trash cans when
I let them out to see what they were after.  VERY infested with fleas
and I've bathed twice in Dawn.  Male - tiny "male member" and no
descended testicles and he LOOKS like a Bernese Mountain dog - rather
shy - I can NOT keep another dog!  I think he's too young for Advantage
and after two baths I"m still finding some living fleas (but tons of
dead ones).  I can't take him to the pound!  Can't figure out why
someone would dump a puppy this age unless  they dumped the whole litter
- he is weaned but thinking no more than two months?  Not had a male
puppy in years.  Not sure what to do with the fleas at this age - may
have to spend money to take to vet!  We are on 5 acres - Don't see how
he would have made it here in middle of the night if he just got away -
he was VERY afraid when we first found him.  I put him in studio with
food and water and couldn't FIND him this morning - he was hiding in a
very obscure place and had to be dragged out.

Amigo - the Chihuahua dumped a month ago is doing well - starts phase
two of heartworm treatment (which is a worry) on January 23. I can't
handle this dog too.  Any suggestions as to how to find him a good home
would be appreciated!
