That is so sick, Peggy! I think I asked once why they don't list the little dogs and they said they often get adopted out before they get a chance to put them on Petfinder. The gals/guys at our shelter are not anything like that. They will foster the little ones out/take them home themselves prior to putting them down. They do put down some of the bigger dogs and cats I am sure. Right now we have more Lab mixes than Bully breeds which is curious. I used to ask whether a certain dog got adopted but now unless I find out they did I don't ask. When I did ask and the dog had been Euthed it was very hard for them to tell me and hard for me to hear. I have to live in LaLa land and pretend they are all getting adopted. I couldn't work there knowing that a dog is on the Euth List for the next day.
Back to Chi-related issues... We are babysitting our grand-cats for a week. It has been a hoot watching them interact with our Chi's. One of them loves our Rico and tries to get him to play. They run all over the house chasing each other. The other cat is scared of our Chi's even though he outweighs them by several pounds, I am sure. Sue We had an incident here a couple of years ago, where the Officer in charge of the shelter and a couple of co-workers were caught on tape, when it came time to put a cat down. They laughed and joked about it > > > > > >
