Same here. They are my babies too. Had I known how great the breed is, I would have had more through the years. I think that because I am getting on in my years, these will probably be my last two. I have always had dogs all of my life. Did professional grooming, worked for professional dog trainers, managed pet shops. Also bred small birds and even tropical fish. Drove my parents nuts as a kid, wanting to keep every animal that I saw, and am still the same way, but much more conservative now. My son is also grown with his own family.
Now I advocate adopting and not buying dogs, especially the chi, unless it is a show chi.
