Betty so sorry to hear about your Yorkie. I had the same thing happen to my female maltese at 10 yrs of age. She was in intensive care for 3 days, but thank God she did survive it. Gigi would have been a perfect candidate for it too, since her organs were so enlarged from overbreeding, at least that is what the Vet had told me. I sure hope she reconsiders and has them both fixed, because they say that the males are also highly susceptible to cancer as well in their senior years.
