Betty so sorry to hear about your Yorkie. I had the same thing happen to my
female maltese at 10 yrs of age. She was in intensive care for 3 days, but
thank God she did survive it. Gigi would have been a perfect candidate for
it too, since her organs were so enlarged from overbreeding, at least that
is what the Vet had told me. I sure hope she reconsiders and has them both
fixed, because they say that the males are also highly susceptible to cancer
as well in their senior years.

Dearest Monica,

If you are not a breeder, then SPAY your little girl!!!

I made a huge mistake with my very first chihuahua. I had lost a yorkie
under anesthesia, so did not by any means want my little chi to be placed
under for a spay.

Long story short, my precious little chi developed pyometra, and even though
the vet did emergency surgery, I lost her. It devastated me!!! I have
learned, that the benefits out way the risks!!

Please spay your little girl, you will both be happy in the end!!

Much luck to you.

Jacques you know...It's the first time for her, she's too young to be
pregnant so I gave her to a friend of mine, he will keep her...someone knows
how long they have to stay separated? Maybe one week?
