Well that was back in the early 1990s and if you scroll down and read this
government document it does list a lot of products that they use and are
imported from China to this day. It is true that a lot of products have been
banned especially since the melamine outbreak in 2007/2008.
They still use imported spices and some vegetables and fish, and some other
things. Not sure about the noodles and rice and meats anymore, but I am sure
if you really want to research you would find the correct information on
that too.

So we are all entitled to our own opinions, that was just mine and mainly
not just because of the fact that their country has the highest pollution
rate in the world which includes their water which is used to grow foods but
also I will not support China in anyway until they close down all the dog
breeding farms used for human consumption over there and in Viet Nam and
parts of Indonesia.

A couple of years ago the government closed down a Chinese slaughter house
in NYC. There was evidence that they were using stray dogs, and it had been
going on for a couple of years. It literally made a lot of people sick. I
think that was the cherry on the cake for me. So yes, I don't trust them at
all. Not only that but I heard some pretty disgusting stories from that guy
that I worked for and he wasn't telling any lies either, since he lived
there most of his life before he came here with his family. They have a
completely different outlook on life and living things as compared to me and
I don't agree with them...JMO

Excuse me? Food cooked in Chinese restaurants is shipped in from China? I
don't think so. My son has worked as a line cook in at least two Chinese
restaurants. The ingredients are purchased and cooked here. I shop in an
Oriental grocery...most of the ingredients are not shipped from China (yes
there are a few...dried fish for instance). I won't buy chicken jerky from
China, but I am not so paranoid that I won't eat in a local Chinese
restaurant.

Good points Peggy ! I didn't realize
That Chinese food made in restaurants here is still manufactured in China !
My sister likes to buy different dog treats and send them to my crew . I
have told her made in USA only ! She just sent some made by Del Monte and
No Where on that bag did it say made in China ! But I looked it up and sure
enough the they're on the recall list .
Sneaky Del Monte !!!!!
