I am just trying this now on Dolly.
The tear stains come from a yeast infection that forms from the tears laying in
the fur. I read that powdered buttermilk helps by changing the tears that are
resistent to yeast infections.
I give Dolly 1/8 tsp on top of her kibble twice a day. She was looking better
and now the allergies are making her eyes water...but when dry, I think she
looks a lot better. It is safer than using some of the products that actually
have antibiotics in them...don't want her to be on any more antibiotics than
necessary.
Good luck!
