Hi Portia,
my little guy Valken is 5 pounds and I think a baby shirt would probably work
great...in fact I'm gonna try it on Valken. One thing that did work pretty well
when we got him (in the dead of winter) was cutting off the bottom of a sweater
sleeve (it works if the sweater is a bit felted as well). I cut it off about
the length of his body. The bottom of the sleeve goes over the head. I cut a
couple of holes where his legs are (more or less) and cut away the bottom so he
does't pee on it. Now that I'm thinking about it...this might work using an
old long sleeved tshirt. If the cuff is a bit tight around the neck I just
stretch it out.
When you've got one that small it is a bit frustrating finding stuff for them
that doesn't cost a fortune but the possibilities are endless!
Have fun!
