Thank you :) I feel very welcome and knew this was the place to find like-minded people. I saw an adorable little older girl, but by the time I am ready she may be adopted. Lol, I was assured there will be something when I am ready. I'm focusing on the Animal Rescue League(Berks County) in my area of Pennsylvania. When I went to visit them to assist with their rats, I saw a chi being adopted, a great little guy. He was so happy to see everyone and every thing I thought his tail was going to fly off! BTW, is this group on Facebook too? To: Chihuahuas@yahoogroups.com From: linda.lay...@gmail.com Date: Tue, 11 Jun 2013 05:30:21 -0500 Subject: Re: [Chihuahuas] Hello-I'm introducing myself
So glad to have you! I know you'll love your new addition--it's so good that you are doing your research beforehand, however, because chis can be a handful at times...there are so many here with great tips and suggestions for you...will be exciting to see pics of your new one when you get him or her (and btw, we used to have two rats ourselves--a pink eyed white and a grey hooded...they're wonderful creatures!) I have two rescued cats, a chinchilla, and my rat rescue. This year I will be adding an adopted chihuahua, so I'm learning as much as I can about them. When I do talks with the rescue, one of the most important things I pass along is, "are you ready for a particular animal? Find out as much as you can first to see if it is the right fit!" My landlord has approved the addition of a dog, and when I feel I'm fully ready, I'll bring home a chi. I'm excited! I live in Pennsylvania. Regards, Bonnie Karni Mata Rat Rescue
