Ivermec isn't in Comfortis. IF you use Ivermectin/heartgard in large.doses for
mange some dogs have had serious side effects.

I would be scared to death of using two strong meds like that. Did you ever try
the Advantix 11 that too now has the flea growth inhibitor so they can't lay
eggs.  If you do try it, then I advise to try to find a HW med that doesn't
have the same insectides in it.  It also wards off fleas and ticks so they
don't want to jump on your dog. It has different ingredients then the regular
Advantage and the Frontline line.  We have fleas here and quite heavily in the
heart of the summer. Like I said before I have been using it for years on
Princess and never see fleas or tics.

Frontline kills the eggs so since we are overrun with fleas trying to get ahead
of them. One MinPin person has used DE, Capstar, Comfortis, Advantage,
Frontline, generic immocloprid and still FLEAS. We are in Florida and both my
vets say it is the worst they have seen.

I use comfortis once a month and heartgard once a month but never give on same
date. If problems then you won't know which medicine caused it. Comfortis is a
powerful chemical so why use Frontline aso?

My Sarasota vet told me to use Frontline then 2 weeks later Comfortis then 2
weeks later Frontline and so on. I am sure she meant the newer Frontline Tritek
but I have the Frontline Plus left so am using that. Question to those who use
Comfortis and Heartgard/Ivomec did your vet tell you to use at different times,
tell you it doesn't matter as long as Heartgard/Ivomec is not mange dose, or
not mention it at all??
