We went to the shelter looking for a cat because our daughter wanted a pet
at college in Miami(and we were in Michigan). they didn't have the cat she
wanted anymore but we ended up getting Nina, a special needs Chi for her
instead. She needed both knees fixed. Nina was what she needed. she has
seen her through grad school, breakups with stupid boyfriends, and helped
her make a lot of friends because with a dog you are forced to get out and
walk and meet people!! Of course she has to approve her boyfriends and our
daughter has said that if Nina doesn't like the guys she doesn't either
because Nina knows! HA!
