Hopefully no one feeds cheap grocery store food cuz all of it can shorten a
pet's life. My rich but cheap bro has fed his several Labs Purina dog chow and
none made it past 11 and most died from liver problems. Feeding cheap foods to
pets is like feeding twinkies and cola to kids, they may live but how long and
in what health? I intially used pedigree and my dogs and my parent's died by
11. My dogs, fed a dog food that is $44 for 37lbs today, has kept my dogs
healthy, 15 yr old Brutus who was in bad shape 8 yrs ago from neglect, is still
hearing and seeing fine, able to leap on the couch, chase the other dogs and
his vet visit a month ago was blood, urine, heart, lungs etc in great
condition. Even his teeth are OK, his front that were loose 8 yrs ago still are
but the rest are fine and he hasn't had a dental since the one just before I
got him. Most of my dogs have been 13 and Murphy was 16 when he died since I
fed Pro Plan.
