If it's an internal site, shouldn't it be even easier to just generate a  
new self
signed cert (or cert with a really long expiration period?)... frankly I  
doubt this
is going to make it in. We have tried really hard to get rid of unnecessary  
options.
If we did this, it would mean that we would essentially have to have some  
sort of
certificate management system outside that offered by Windows (to handle  
such
exceptions), and I just don't see that happening.

Marking wontfix, because in all honesty we probably won't.
