Comment #6 on issue 5863 by moses.mason: Incompatible to Vista Microsoft New Phonetic IME (Tradition Chinese IME) http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=5863
Hi, I've checked, and this issue is *not* as same as issue 3798. Here is the new steps to reproduce this issue, maybe it is useful for you: 0. Install Microsoft New Phonetic IME in Vista Control Panel for Tradition Chinese Input; 1. Open Chrome/Chromium, put cursor in the Ominibox; select New Phonetic IME in language bar; 2. click "Properties" by click the "Tool Menu" button of the New Phonetic IME in the language bar; 3. In the "Microsoft New Phonetic IME 10.0 Settings" box, click "Keyboard" tab; 4. Select "Taiwan Pinyin" keyboard layout in the drop menu, and click "OK"; 5. Back to the Ominibox, confirm IME is actived and Chinese input mode is on. 6. Type character 'l' and hit "space bar", chrome will stop response. Note: 0. "Standard", "Eten", "IBM" and "ChingYeah" keyboard layouts of the New Phonetic IME will not reproduce this issue; 1. I can reproduce this issue on Vista only, not on XP; 2. My test system is Vista Home Premium with all updates available; 3. Anti virus software is Norton Internet Security 2008 with all updates available. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
