@xnoreq: Chrome "custom" interface does not respect the Microsoft "standards", just as other applications also do not. Not even Microsoft products adhere to their own HIG recommendations. I also found out that the behaviour reported in this bug report is consistent with the way Chrome functions. Check out the menus: - move the mouse pointer over the "Control the current page" button - click on it - move the pointer over the "Customise and control Chromium" (I'm using Chromium build 7540 at the moment, but I'm assuming the latest Chrome version has the same behaviour) - notice the "Customise and control Chromium" dropdown menu requires an additional click to open, just like the bookmark toolbar behaviour described in this bug report.
