Comment #18 on issue 1623 by osman.karslioglu: Security: Update download
fails even though Chrome works perfectly
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=1623

Hi,

I'm having the same issue here.

I am on the stable channel, not beta or dev. Using 1.0.154.36 version. Up
to now, i have
been able to update with no problem, and i didn't have any changes in my
system for
long time.

I checked the GoogleUpdate.exe registration, it's correct.

I am using the laptop that my company gave me, with Windows XP Professional
SP2
(5.1.2600).
Windows Firewall is Off.
For antivirus, Symantec Endpoint Protection is installed, but i stop the
Services of
Endpoint Protection when i am at home. Because it blocks E-mule, but i want
to use it at
home. By the way, i have used the update both at home and at work before
with no
problem, while antivirus is running or not running. So, there can't be any
issue related
with antivirus either.

This issue is not resolved for me neither :(
