Thanks. That was the problem. It still seems like a bit of a UI issue, though not the one being discussed here. What happens is that when I type "wiki", it auto- completes to something else (not wikipedia). If I wait about a second, the rest of the line goes away and I can tab-to-search, but if I type wiki<tab> without a pause it doesn't do the search.
