Comment #24 on issue 3830 by jer...@chromium.org: Using keyboard select RTL
text: Highlight goes to opposite direction
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=3830

I'm not quite sure what issues this bug describes anymore.

I vote for closing this issue entirely and reopening individual bugs for
any discrete issues that may remain
here. AFAIK the underlying issues here all have to do with WebKit so for
each bug in our database there
should be a corresponding WebKit bug linked to it.

We can then discuss the proposed solution on the WebKit bug database and
file patches there.

Again, I'm not sure if there are really any remaining issues here, we
already have separate bugs on file locally
for home/end behavior in RTL text.

Arrow key behavior is to move visually and select logically, I think we've
come to the conclusion that this is the
behavior we want.

Another thing that bares mentioning in this context, is that allot of
confusion around bidi editing behavior
stems from there being no visual cue for the current bidi context (the
caret image doesn't change). There is
already a WebKit bug filed for this.

xji: I think you have the best handle on these issues at this point, could
you close this bug and file new ones
for any issues that remain, thanks!
