New issue 17870 by [email protected]: Wrench > Preferences
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=17870

Chrome Version : 3.0.196.0~svn20090727r21637
URLs (if applicable) :
http://library.gnome.org/devel/hig-book/stable/principles-
consistency.html.en

Behavior in Firefox 3.x: OK

What is the expected result?
"Options" called "Preferences", if you're following the GNOME HIG.

What happens instead?
Like Windows, the entry is called "Options".

Almost universally, in GNOME, "Preferences", in the Edit menu, is the place
to configure the application (contrasting with Tools > Options, which
prevails in Windows).
I don't know if, or where, it's specifically stated it should be called
preferences, but the HIG does state, "Make your application consistent with
itself and with other applications ..."
