When I use fakename:fakepassw...@www.tomyphpmyadmin.com I get prompted for a new login. I don't know how phpmyadmin works, but it probably has to do something with responding to a 401 by clearing the auth headers that is not official behaviour, but it seems to work in firefox and ie. then when I relogin, I get prompted a few times for the password, probably due to parallel requests (for images and pictures etc) that send the fakeuser:fakepassword i opened the page with.
