Comment #10 on issue 18334 by menno.de...@erasmusmc.nl: PHPMyadmin won't let me logout http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=18334
No, it is a work-around to let me logout of the phpmyadmin. It could be by design as i read on the net that http auth doesn't have a logout method, but as firefox and ie let me logout i think it would be good if chrome does the same thing. What I read about logging out from http auth is that the browser gets 'fooled' by receiving a 401 response from the logout screen of the program and then the browser clears the (temporarily) stored username / password. So in general, I think the bug is that chrome holds on a little bit too much to the auth session compared to the other browsers. Not really sure if phpmyadmin sends a 401 but that is the general workaround I read on the net for logging out a http auth session. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
