While the gigaom case took a long time to close in both Chrome and Firefox, http://openwebdeveloper.sys-con.com/node/1069470 closed instantly in Fx 3.5 for me and not-even-close-to-instantly in Chrome 4. I did not try and verify that both browsers were served identical code.
