Status: Unconfirmed Owner: ---- Labels: Type-Bug Pri-2 OS-All Area-Misc New issue 21989 by jjnhendriks: FTP Folder with space in foldername fails. (Chromium 4.0.212.0 build 26330) http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=21989
Chrome Version : 4.0.212.0 (Developer Build 26330) URLs (if applicable) : ftp://out-its:esker...@ftp.private.esker.fr/JH/Test Space/Test.txt Other browsers tested: FF 3.5.3, IE 8, Safari 4.0.3 (531.9.1) Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue: Safari 4: ok Firefox 3.x: ok IE 7: IE 8: ok What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Paste URL : ftp://out-its:esker...@ftp.private.esker.fr/JH/Test Space/Test.txt in Chromium adress bar. 2. 3. What is the expected result? Should propose to download or directly show the text file Test.txt : Chromium 4.0.212.0 (Developer Build 26330) WebKit 532.0 V8 1.3.11 User Agent Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US) AppleWebKit/532.0 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/4.0.212.0 Safari/532.0 What happens instead? Error shows : This webpage is not available. The webpage at ftp://out- its:esker...@ftp.private.esker.fr/JH/Test%20Space/Test.txt might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address. More information on this error Below is the original error message Error 2 (net::ERR_FAILED): Unknown error. Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible. OS Used : Win XP SP3 The URL used : ftp://out-its:esker...@ftp.private.esker.fr/JH/Test Space/Test.txt is using a user & password and is a non listable folder. But I'm convinced that it only has to do with the fact that there is a space in the foldername (I know this is maybe not the norm, but IIS allows to create FTP folders with a space in it and all other browsers do handle this). I simply do not have the possibility to create a non user & password protected listable FTP Folder. But on the same server, the URL (Without space) : ftp://out-its:esker...@ftp.private.esker.fr/JH/TestNoSpace/Test.txt Does work fine. The issue seems also to happen when using the --wininet-ftp option. This issue occurs also with previous versions of Chrome so seems not to be a regression.
