Comment #25 on issue 24349 by [email protected]: Single clicking in the address bar should not highlight all text http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=24349
I single-click and type in the omnibox. But if I go to google.com, search for something, and then click the search box on the resultspage (that still has the old text in it), it behaves like the normal text box it is (i.e. does not select-all). My brain has learned "search boxes sometimes select-all on single click" because the omnibox behaves that way. And now search boxes make me unhappy because I don't know how they are going to behave. It's just the "this change is bad because it makes text boxes inconsistent" point from above, but with the data point that this does in fact make me unhappy, like I assumed (even if in a for me slightly surprising way). -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
