I single-click and type in the omnibox. But if I go to google.com, search  
for
something, and then click the search box on the resultspage (that still has  
the old
text in it), it behaves like the normal text box it is (i.e. does not  
select-all).

My brain has learned "search boxes sometimes select-all on single click"  
because the
omnibox behaves that way. And now search boxes make me unhappy because I  
don't
know how they are going to behave. It's just the "this change is bad  
because it makes
text boxes inconsistent" point from above, but with the data point that  
this does in
fact make me unhappy, like I assumed (even if in a for me slightly  
surprising way).
