Along this line I see 2 main questions/concerns that are raised.

1)How is the *nix build effort being approached? I personally know
that if the scons files were to be completed, I would be more than
willing to help code up fixes for unimplemented/broken bits etc. I'm
no build engineer, and what's more, I'm not particularly well versed
in chrome's build system of Scons. Is there someone leading the effort
to get a 3 platform build system (even if it fails?)

2) Obviously there is solid support and integration for VS 2005 (what
with its build role on windows). However, without autotools, utilizing
an open IDE (like the popular Eclipse CDT) is difficult. Obviously
this would be a community project, once the scons scripts settle,
would developers like to see project files/settings for Eclipse? or
something else?
