Well Google Chrome is running webkit as part of the browser, the same incidently as apple safari, and as far as i know unless i am wrong - google are experimenting with the user agent strings to try fixing issues such as hotmail, and ammending the user agent string to show like safaris is prob why its showing as safari to you - it probably shows as --user-agent="Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US) AppleWebKit/525.19 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1 Safari/525.19"
until google finalises it with the help and support of microsoft, and getting it to detect google chrome as it is in its own right a browser, then these experiments of ammending the uas may inavertantly identify Google chrome as safari, but only due to safari and chrome having webkit in them, regards, Simon 2009/1/7 Anuj Rathi <[email protected]> > > Hi experts, > I have recently added Google chrome.
