Hello,
GoogleUpdate.exe "regulary" checks the servers if an update exists and
silently installs it, to know more about it, a small description regarding
that is here:

I want to note that people can "turn off" the update feature, so I don't
know how reliable that could be, or how much percentage the general public
does that.
