I really don't understand the problem. Why not make it (not official)
testers easy to use a stable version additionally? There would be no
disadvantage for anyone. The most users are satisfied with installable
programs and they can use CHROME. And if there was no unique ID and no
automatic request (calling home), I would think about to accept this,
too. But I'd always preferring CHROMIUM as portable snapshot anyway.

What makes anyone an official tester?

I am really interested, that chromium is going to open the door to
escape from complicated and pedestrian software, like windows, office,
adobe-stuff, etc...

What do you think about the idea to create a google-Explorer, which
could be implemented (as first step) in chromium. If users would like
to use this explorer not only in chromium but generally, there should
be an option to replace the windows explorer completely with this new
file manager. This was the first step to introduce windows-users to
android... what do you think about that?

The windows explorer is really out of time and there should be created
a new standard, which allows to understand the structure of the file
system more intuitively. For example nothing (especially no personal
data) should ever be saved in a complicated and hidden location as
"c:windows/documents and bla/application data/and so on/". This
windows-typical inconsistency is confusing and is only created by
Microsoft to chain the users to windows.

Whoever had the initial idea to create an easy and intuitive browser
like chromium should think about the next steps to build now a bridge
between windows (chromium) and android (chromium) - and I think this
would be a coherent file manager, which creates a new sense of
tidiness in storing data....

(sorry for my English, I'll work on it :-)
